Solution to reset Photoshop Cs4 trial expired(updated 2001 below)

Don’t worry, because some guys over at who knows where got the fix that will save you many hours of headaches. The problem lies within the “amtlib.dll” file in each of the CS4 application directories. However, downloading a simple fix and updating each of the files with a newer one can solve this problem.

Please remember : these guide was shared online for education , clipped to posting by my students and friends that they said it's useful ,already fix the problem to re-use PS CS4. Almost authors want to shares in anonymous.

SOLUTION 1 : FOR PHOTOSHOP CS4 licensing product has expired.

• Delete:this cache file :

library/Application support/adobe/adobe PCD/ cache/ cache.db

• Open Terminal (found in Applications/Utilities/). In the terminal window, paste in:
  

sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts

• Hit return and type in your admin password.
  

• A file will automatically open in TextEdit. In TextEdit, at the bottom of the document, hit return and paste in the following:
  

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sea.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sjc0.adobe.com

• Save the file. Do NOT do a "Save As". Close the file.
  

• If you're on OS X 10.4, reboot. If you're on OS X 10.5, in a new terminal window, paste in:
  

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache

Hit return and exit out of Terminal.

• Launch any CS4 app and enter the serial.

REMARKS OF ANOTHER GUIDE
Delete cache.db in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache

To be able enter new serial ,after that add adresses in hosts file.

SOLUTION 2 : Adobe CS4 Activation Guide

• Install with no key (trial version) once finished quit any CS4 applications if open.

Launch Terminal and paste this,

sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts

• It should open up a text file, then go to the very end, hit enter for a new line and paste this,
  

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sea.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sjc0.adobe.com

• Save, NOT save as, and quit both applications.
  

• Launch any CS4 application, use the serial to activate.
  

• XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

FIX THE PROBLEM IN HOSTS FILE - LOCALHOST

- Go to C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc.
There Should be a File named: 'Hosts'
Double Click and open it with Notepad.
There Should be something like this at the bottom:

127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost

Make sure that it looks like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com ::1 localhost

• - Now click File> Save
• - Close Notepad
• - Enter the Serial

1330-1430-9860-3108-6588-8053

This should fix LOCALHOST IN HOSTS FILE problem.


NOTE : CS4 License Expired FIX

If you get "License Expired" message while starting one of previously cured CS4 Products, just replace amtlib.dll once more (with the cured one) in that product folder and don't forget to add appropriate servers in your "hosts" file. Any questions - Google Knows.

P.S. Some web packages, like TopServer or StpServer may discard your changes in the hosts file, while adding or deleting virtual hosts. Make sure to restore those changes before starting Adobe

You can use this fix, it's work for all cs4 products (photoshop, illustrator, flash, dreamweaver...)

• just overwrite the amtlib.dll by this one (make a backup before if you want, like amtlib_0.dll)

From the downloaded crack folder

1. copy the amtlib.dll.
2. goto my computer\c:\program file\adobe\
3. paste the dll file.
4. it will ask already exists.
5. make copy and replace
6. go to all program select your application either photoshop...
7. click it thats it.

REMARKS FOR :remove Updater.api
Like other adobe new users, if you are also annoyed with Adobe auto-updater popping up and freezing the application you can completely disable the feature in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader 8.1, just follow the steps below to disable Adobe updater
you need to check for updates at least one time in-order to access the Adobe Auto Updater preference dialog box.

remove Updater.api from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins

Then when you try to go to "Help | Check for update" nothing will happen :)
